Richard Whittaker is a journalist and critic. Born in Macclesfield, a town famous for only two things (the center of British silk production, and Ian Curtis of Joy Division killing himself there), he initially settled on a career as a historian, before swapping that for the only worse paid profession – journalism.<\/p>\n
His work has appeared in the\u00a0Austin Chronicle<\/em>,\u00a0Texas<\/em> Observer<\/em>,\u00a0Gallery<\/em> Watch,\u00a0<\/em>the\u00a0Ad Hoc <\/em>family of publications, and\u00a0Fortean Times<\/em>.
